My Employment Options After a Life-Changing Incident
I never knew that my employment options would be very limited after graduation considering that I had everything going for me when I was in high school. I was head cheerleader and I have always been popular. It felt like my good fortune will never end; that is until I broke my leg during a very important cheering competition.
I did a back flip and had an awkward landing; I immediately felt the snap and sharp pain but I ignored it and went on to do my thing. I was very competitive and losing has never been an option for me but looking back I should have stopped and asked to be brought to the hospital as soon as it happened.
That was a couple of years ago; now it is already impossible to achieve my dream to become a famous dancer or choreographer. You really don’t know what life will bring your way, that’s why you should always be ready and careful. I looked at my employment options and was pleased to see that there are now jobs for disabled people. Some had worse conditions than I did, but they were never discriminated upon or discouraged from applying for a job. Thanks to this site I have found hope and renewed faith in myself and my abilities.
